We are currently seeking for a Buyer to join our team.

 

Responsibilities:

The Buyer will procure project (CAPEX), MRO related materials & services.

1. performs activities needed through the purchasing flow (data collection, RFI, RFQ, analysis, vendor management, negotiations, contracting, implementation, follow-up, etc.) with the aim to reduce costs, assure delivery as well quality and assure that agreements are in good standing
2. Ensure that purchasing and other procedures, policies, guidelines are followed
3. develop and implement ongoing process improvements
4. proactively benchmark and carry out optimization processes
5. conduct market analysis
6. develop and implement tactical sourcing strategies in order to deliver maximized total cost of ownership savings
7. responsible for managing and coordinating activities in own area
8. provide support to internal customers
9. identify /stress out/ implement new purchasing opportunities as they appear
10. participate in technical investment projects
11. collaborate with Engineering departments across the company, with Group Buyers
12. ad-hoc project management
13. develop and manage purchasing budget
14. inspect and evaluate vendors and vendor performancemaintain and extend global sourcing opportunities
15. Reporting to the Regional Technical Purchasing Manager and locally head of department

Requirements:

• Must have Bachelor Degree of Engineering in mechanical field.
• Solid procurement experience in an industrial environment such as chemical, pharma or food industry - ideally mechanical and/or project buying
• Excellent IT-Skills (MS Office, SAP)
• Good organization skills
• Integrity
• Fluent in Indonesia and English - any additional languages of advantage
• Analytical and goal oriented personality
• Ability to work both independently and with intercultural teams
